In order for Facebook to approve your catalogue for Facebook Shop or Instagram Shopping, you need to ensure that you remove HTML Tags from the description of the product items.
To remove HTML tags from Facebook Catalog, go to
Catalog -> Data Sources -> Settings
Under Data Feed Rules, click on Add Rule:
In the Column field, select rich_text_description from the dropdown. In the Existing value field, add this Regex Rule to replace HTML tags: <[\/]*a[^\>]*\>
Now you can request to update your feed again, and it should update the feed removing all html tags and your catalogue should not show any errors.
